Hi everyone, new blogger Hana here to rally up some support for team blonde! There are some pretty negative stereotypes attached to both sides that I hope the upcoming battle between the Insiders can rewrite (blondes aren’t dumb and brunettes certainly aren’t boring) but we blondes can definitely prove we’re more fun!
In this beautiful weather there’s no better time to be blonde and take in some sunshine to brighten up our locks. There’s no excuse not to be making the most out of one of the hottest summers on record and I know I have. I’ve just gotten back from Glastonbury festival’s 40th year and it was the best yet with surprise appearances from The Edge (U2), Radiohead, TV’s Matt Smith (Doctor Who) and one of the world’s greatest blondes, Kylie Minogue!
The tiny pop princess shocked everyone by singing alongside the Scissor Sisters on Saturday night and she looked better than ever. Kylie’s had a tough few years but she was definitely having a great time performing in front of thousands in thigh-high mirrored boots. You would never know that only a few years ago she was bravely battling cancer. A salute to Kylie- a fantastic fun blonde role model.
Taking from her example I had a great time at the festival. With such a great line up sometimes it can be easy to forget that Glastonbury is a performing arts festival, and there’s so much more than the music! It’s sprawling with interesting people and in every corner something great is going on. I took time out to check out some incredible acrobats in the circus, new releases in the cinema, watched the sunrise in the stone circle and partied hard in the incredible clubs after dark.
I’ve been a natural blonde for 21 years and I like to make the most out of my hair; I already religiously use John Frieda’s Sheer Blonde range and I look forward to seeing how it brings out the sparkle for Team Blonde. In the meantime I’ll be out and about in the sunshine proving that blonde is best. We’ve got some fierce opponents, but I know we can prove we’re more fun.
